Ventilation monitor delivery at Hvidovre
Earlier this year we had the pleasure of delivering a Timpel ENLIGHT 2100 to Ronni Plovsing, MD and PhD, and the ICU team at Hvidovre University Hospital. The ENLIGHT 2100 from Timpel Medical is an EIT (electrical impedance tomography) monitor that provides a real-time view of air distribution – breath by breath – in the lungs, as well as the possibility to perform a perfusion measurement. And what are the benefits of that? Well, we are glad you asked. Ronni has the answer and we shared it in a post. |

Technologies
O2 assist
Imagine having an assistant that continuously monitors SpO2 data from your patient and adjusts the oxygen setting just the way you would – right there in your ventilator. Meet O2 assist: A technology from Hamilton Medical that helps you provide precision care through continuous oxygen management.
O2 assist automatically adjusts oxygen delivery to keep your patient's SpO2 levels within a set target range. This is a great benefit for the patient – and for you, as fewer manual adjustments are needed. O2 Assist is backed by clinical evidence and available for most Hamilton ventilators, e.g. HAMILTON-C1 and HAMILTON-T1. Learn more in the video and reach out to your local product specialist for additional info. |

Technologies
IntelliSync+
Spotting patient-ventilator asynchronies can be tricky. And asynchronies are bad for the patient outcome. Therefore, continuous monitoring and adjustments can make a big, positive difference. Hamilton Medical has developed IntelliSync+ to do exactly that: It analyzes waveforms one hundred times per second and initiates inspiration and expiration in real time, when needed. See how that works in the video, and reach out to your local product specialist to hear more about getting started with IntelliSync+. |

Electrical impedance tomography (EIT) in mechanical ventilation
What is the best PEEP setting for my patient? Is there an asynchrony between patient and ventilator? What is the optimal positioning strategy for this patient? Are we ventilating the patient in the most lung-protective way? If you have asked these questions during mechanical ventilation treatment, you should read our article about electrical impedance tomography (EIT). It explains the technology, what challenges it adresses in mechanical ventilation, and the advantages it brings. |
